Last night Ford Motor Company delivered a briefing at a forum of the Alliance on Resource Efficiency in Washington, D.C. discussing its Partnership for A Cleaner Environment (PACE) program. The goal of the PACE program is to share best practices for water, energy, and carbon dioxide reduction, with their suppliers with the aim of helping them minimize their impact on the environment.

“We are committed to expanding our stewardship with our global suppliers to help minimize our environmental impact more broadly,” said Hau Thai-Tang, Ford group vice president, global purchasing. “By sharing our practices and our processes at the G7 Alliance on Resource Efficiency workshop, we hope to foster innovation and collaboration to address sustainability-related issues and advance environmental responsibility.”

For has long sought to lead by example, and its commitment to reducing its impact on the environment has delivered proven results. A few weeks ago, Ethisphere Institute named Ford to its list of World's Most Ethical Companies for mandating ethical practices and being a leader in regards to corporate citizenship.
