Ford Motor Company plans to release 12 new plug-in hybrids in the next four years. It's off to a great start as the 2017 Ford Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid now achieves an EPA-estimated range of 610 miles. That's a significant jump from last year's model, which delivered 550 miles.

Ford has gone above and beyond for sustainability with its current model year. In addition to creating a closed-loop aluminum recycling system at its Dearborn Truck Plant, which produces its new 2016 Ford F-150s, Ford announced today that it is changing how it produces plastic and foam parts for its vehicles.
